Our Team

I am the youngest of six kids and my mother's fourth home birth. I came so quickly that my father caught me, my sister named me, and I was weighed on a fruit scale at our local supermarket. I guess that is where my love for birth, and adventure, were, well, born. At the age of 18, I started the journey to become a midwife with medical missions. I trained as a student midwife in developing countries and provided midwifery care in East Africa and India. I spent two years traveling and one year practicing as a hospital midwife, providing care in extreme circumstances with minimal resources. This is where my passion for creating a safe birthing environment grew.After coming back from overseas, I studied midwifery and interned at a busy birth center. In 2018, I started Moments Midwifery. To date, I have attended over 400 deliveries. I have a loving husband and two girls whom I've delivered at home under the incredible care of midwives.
