ABOUT US
Meet the midwife
Kaitlin Gauna, LM, CPM - Licensed and Insured - 500+ Births
I'm Kaitlin, a licensed midwife who has spent a lifetime around birth—first as a child attending the home births of my nieces and nephews, and later at the age of 19 as a midwife working across Tanzania, Zanzibar, India in 2010. These experiences taught me two truths: birth is powerful and often works beautifully—but sometimes, it needs skilled support.
Since founding Moments Midwifery in 2018, I offer the best of both worlds—holistic, hands-off care when birth unfolds naturally, and experienced clinical judgment when challenges arise. I bring calm confidence to your space, knowing when to wait and when to act.
You don’t have to choose between feeling safe and feeling seen—you can have both.

TESTIMONIALS
What our customers are saying
Adisela is very supportive and helped me with increasing my milk supply and also adjusting my baby’s latch. I just wish Ive meet her sooner 😂
Kaitlin is an amazing midwife! I had her as my midwife with my first baby and I enjoyed all of the care I had with her. She takes her time with you in appointments and answers all of your questions not just about labor and delivery but anything related to decisions surrounding baby. The prenatal and postpartum care I received through her is something that should be more normal in the medical system.
I can’t recommend them enough. Kaitlin supported my home birth and I am very happy to have gone through with this decision!
Amazing midwife and person
There are truly no words that could describe my experience with Kaitlin as our midwife. I felt safe, respected, and supported through every step of my pregnancy and birth. Kaitlin is a very knowledgeable and dedicated midwife. I’ll forever be grateful that God lead me to her. If you’re looking for the best; she’s it!
I couldn’t have imagined when I was pregnant just how thankful I would be for headlamps, bendy straws, and my phenomenal midwife Kaitlin while I was giving birth. By very lucky happenstance, I became a client of Kaitlin’s only a few weeks before going into labor. We built a great rapport quickly and she and her assistant midwife April helped me bring my beautiful daughter into this world unmedicated and exactly how I envisioned her birth. It was a long labor and Kaitlin coached both me and my husband through the entirety of it without being intrusive; as first time parents, Kaitlin and April’s comforting reassurance as both midwives and parents was everything. April also took amazing photos and videos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Without a doubt, a home birth with Moments Midwifery was the best decision and I would make that choice again in an instant <3 LS & TS
I had an amazing experience with Kaitlin at Moments Midwifery! She made sure that my baby and I were both physically and emotionally taken care of during the pregnancy and birth. Kaitlin is both kind and understanding as well as medically knowledgeable. There was time during appointments to ask questions and discuss concerns. I was always welcome to bring my children to appointments and they loved coming. The birth was such a wonderful and empowering experience. I feel so privileged to have gotten to have such a wonderful birth. If you are considering home birth, Kaitlin is a wonderful midwife and I recommend her wholeheartedly!
Kaitlin is absolutely fantastic! She really felt like a part of my family through my pregnancy journey, and offered so much support. Not only is she knowledgeable in what she does, she carries a huge heart for all of her patients. I’d recommend her to any and everyone!

QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to start midwifery care?
It’s best to begin midwifery care early in your pregnancy. Many clients have their first visit between 10-14 weeks, when the fetal heartbeat can be heard by Doppler. If you're not already seeing another provider, I recommend starting care by 20 weeks. However, clients are welcome to begin care at any point in their pregnancy, as long as it’s before labor. Since space is limited, reaching out early helps ensure availability.
Where do routine visits take place?
Routine visits occur at my home office, which is family-centered, with partners and children always welcome. In the third trimester, one prenatal visit will take place in your home or chosen place of delivery, where I will also attend you for the birth and immediate postpartum visit 1 to 3 days after delivery. The two-week and six-week postpartum visits will resume at my home office.
Can I bring my kids or partner to the visits?
Absolutely! If you have a toddler, they can even play in my playroom while you have a grown-up conversation. Or, if you'd rather have them by you, no worries at all. Your partner, friends, or parents are also welcome!
Do you serve my area?
I serve families within about a 45-minute drive. I can sometimes go farther on a case-by-case basis, with a travel fee. Areas I usually serve: South Orlando, Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Lake Nona, Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Winter Garden, Clermont, and Davenport.
How long have you been a midwife?
I have been working in the birth community since 2010. My experience includes working as a student midwife in India and East Africa and at a high-volume birth center in Central Florida. I obtained my midwifery license in 2018 and established Moments Midwifery shortly after. I've attended more than 500 births.
What are your religious/spiritual beliefs?
As a midwife, I support families of all beliefs with love and respect. Growing up in a multi-religious household has given me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. I keep my beliefs private, focusing on building trust and honoring each family's spiritual preferences. My personal views never affect the care I provide—every family deserves compassionate, individualized support.
